SAVED MY LIFE

‘[It was] an incredible experience that I can say eclipses being homeless. This is a sign of things to come - I will be back on my feet! I feel so blessed and humbled to be part of a project that gives people hope. CWNN has saved my life.’

- SANDRA, CHOIR MEMBER

"I am trying to be healthier and to eat better this year - do more exercise and walking. I want to be happy and healthy and have a better, longer life so I can spend it with my beautiful grandchildren" SANDIE

"My dream would be to become a pro-football manager. That’s something I’ve always wanted to be. But I think a more realistic goal, and something I want to do in the next five years, is to start my own company as an electrician" VINCE

“I’ve had a passion for bee keeping for ten years. My partner wanted to be a bee keeper but he had dementia. I sing every day. Singing a solo at choir is exhilarating. Maybe I should start singing to the bees!” SARAH

"I’ve been into music since I was a child, I grew up in the church so I’ve always been singing. When I’m singing I feel happy, joyful. I feel good. If I’m depressed, I just start to sing. It lifts my spirit” SYLMARINE

About Us

The Choir with No Name is a small charity who have been running choirs for homeless and marginalised people in the UK since 2008. In January 2019, over 150 of our choir members went into studios across the country to record a very special version of This is Me from The Greatest Showman. It was a once in a lifetime experience for our members and a day they will never forget…

out of the shadows

‘This Is Me is about stepping out of the shadows and being proud of who you are. At the Choir with No Name, we celebrate our diversity, individuality and potential. We are mums, dads, daughters, sons, grandmas and grandads. We are football fans, dog lovers, students and musicians. We’re not a nameless, homogenous mass of ‘the homeless’. We want the world to see homelessness as a systemic problem, not a personal affliction, and get engaged in the fight to end it.’

- CEO & FOUNDER, MARIE BENTON
